Neighbors condemn deadly terrorist attack in Iran's Chabahar

TEHRAN, Dec. 07 (MNA) – Iran's neighbor countries condemn Chabahar terrorist attack where a suicide car blast killed at least 2 and injured a number of others.

"Pakistan announced it strongly condemns terrorist car bomb attack in Chahbahar in brotherly neighboring Iran that has taken lives of 3 innocent people while injuring others. Pakistan condemns Terrorism. Concerted efforts are required to uproot it from spreading anywhere and everywhere. Concerted efforts are required to uproot it from spreading anywhere and everywhere," twitted Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal on Thursday.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India also strongly condemned a Thursday terrorist attack, saying "we express our condolences to the government and the people of Iran and the families of the victims of this attack."“

There can be no justification for any act of terror,” the statement concluded, according to The Indian Express.

In a statement on Friday, Turkish foreign ministry also expressed condolences over the deadly terrorist attack in Chabahar port, saying "we have received the news with sorrow that the attack against the police headquarters today, in the city of Chabahar resulted in loss of lives and left many others wounded. We condemn this heinous terrorist attack. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the people and Government of Iran."

Afghanistan has also condemned in its strongest terms a terrorist attack that hit the Iranian city. The statement on Friday added that Afghanistan has made enormous sacrifices in its fight against terrorism which is "a common enemy of humanity."

"The government of Afghanistan expresses its deepest condolences and sympathy in respect of the Iranian citizen's lives lost and those injured in this tragic incident and stresses the need for closer cooperation among states in fighting this common enemy," the statement reads.

On Thursday morning, an explosive-laden vehicle attacked the police headquarters in Chabahar, killing two sentries and injuring a number of other people, including passersby.
